Julie Carey, Founder

Julie has been around water all her life,  but started kayaking in 2008 when she received her first kayak as a Christmas present. She earned in American Canoe Association L2 River Kayaking Certification in 2021 and has taught classes throughout the midwest for the US Coast Guard Auxiliary as well as with the National Park Service and Ozark National Scenic Riverways.  She also has served as a safety boater during events hosted by the James River Basin Partnership.   Julie has been designated as an Instructor Trainer Candidate by the ACA. 

In October 2022, Julie was selected as ACA's Instructor of the Month.
